South Bank Piazza
A robust, open, and covered amphitheatre, the South Bank Piazza is suited to a range of activity including concerts and performances, community and cultural festivals, guest speaker presentations, exhibitions, media and product launches, small indoor sporting events, cinema screenings and live streaming.
Cultural Forecourt*
One of Brisbane’s premier event spaces, this expansive space offers city and Brisbane River views. Suited to large-scale events including live streaming sites, community and major cultural festivals, fun runs, talent meet and greet, media launches, food festivals and markets. * available to hire 2024 events onwards only.
Rainforest Green
A sloping grassed area surrounded by tranquil landscaping, the intimate natural amphitheatre of Rainforest Green adds a peaceful elegance to small, open-air concerts and performances, cinema screenings, fitness programs and private functions.
Riverside Green
A significant new green waterfront space, the newly opened Riverside Green boasts stunning views of the Brisbane River. This river view lawn offers a functional outdoor space and is well suited to live performances, product and sporting activations, event and media launches, family friendly concerts, outdoor cinema, corporate cocktail events, artwork displays/installations, and community or special celebrations.
Flowstate Pavilion
The Pavilion is the main section of Flowstate and can hold events for small groups of 70 or large-scale functions for up to 500. Designed as an open-air performance and creative space, the Pavilion is a fusion of art, theatre, and flora. With an abundance of natural light, Flowstate Pavilion makes for a memorable setting for private corporate functions, art displays or fitness programs.
Flowstate Green
Flowstate Green offers a large lawn area encompassed by an open arbour structure. This premium space can accommodate events ranging from product launches and private parties to corporate cocktail events and community markets.
Little Stanley Street Lawns (North and South)
Nestled between the infamous South Bank Parkland Arbor, and Little Stanley Street restaurants, lies the Little Stanley Street Lawns. Little Stanley Street North is adjacent to South Bank Piazza, while Little Stanley Street South is located towards Tribune St. These two green spaces are ideal for fitness activities, public artworks and installations, live performances, media and event launches, live sites and corporate cocktail parties.
Visitors are welcome to use the green spaces at South Bank Parklands without prior approval, provided the Conditions of Entry are met. If you are unsure if your plans meet these normal conditions of entry, please submit an online enquiry form or contact the team via email.
Please note, South Bank event spaces are not available to be hired for wedding ceremonies.
Busking at South Bank: Busking permits are not available in the South Bank precinct. South Bank Corporation's busking program and guidelines are currently under review.
